Double Bass Mastery Program

Over the years I have found that the traditional one-hour lesson per week doesn't really work well for either my students or me.  Progress is slow and not always consistent, so I felt it was time to do something about it.

I wanted my students to have more support from me and their peers and create a community of bassists so that they don't feel that practicing has to be a lonely endeavor.

This program is designed to help you find ways to perform with more ease, power and expression.  Working in a supportive environment, you will discover new techniques and ideas and learn to use body awareness to take your playing to the next level.

The program is designed for advanced high school and college/conservatory bassists preparing for a career in music, and young professional bassists looking to expand their knowledge and musical horizons in this ever-changing world.

This program is for you, if...

  • You are an advanced high school, college-level or young professional bassist entering the field

  • You are interested to pursue a career in music

  • You want to get ready to audition for college, orchestra or competition

  • You thrive for excellence and are eager to learn

  • You want to share your knowledge and be inspired by both the faculty and your peers

  • You want a supportive and inclusive environment to explore and try new concepts

This is what the program looks like:

Each month you will get:

  • Two 90 minutes lessons

  • Two group technique classes

  • Two office hours

  • One studio class

  • One master class with a guest bassist

  • You will be assigned a practice partner for accountability

  • Opportunity to perform in studio classes, masterclasses, and final Recital

Also, you will have access 24/7 to:

  • All classes.  They will be recorded so if you miss one you can view it later.

  • Access to a private Facebook page for support.

  • Access to a digital library that will have pieces with bowing and fingering, technique exercises, and much more.

In this model of teaching, I find that you will learn faster and better and will build the confidence to perform at your peak!

You get 11 hours per month instead of the traditional 4 hours per month.  The way it works is that you get a 90 minute lesson on weeks 1 and 3, and technique class, office hour and studio class/master class on weeks 2 and 4.

The beauty of this program is that you get the extra attention and support from your peers and me and build together a community of like-minded bassists!

The price for this program is $1175 per month.

If you are already working with a teacher but are still interested in participating in the technique, studio and master classes on week 2 and 4, the price of the program is $587 per month
