Bassist, Educator & Arts Entrepreneur

A committed educator, performer and entrepreneurial bassist, I founded and direct the Boston Bass Bash and Virtual Double Bass Summer Intensive as well as the Family Chamber Music Fest — Online Edition. Through my new Double Bass Mastery Program, I have created more performance opportunities for young talented bassists to connect with world-class guest artists and a community of like-minded bassists.

 

Having trained with peak performance coach Dr. Don Greene, in Feldenkrais Method and Tai Chi studies, I bring a wealth of perspective to my teaching and it has helped me develop an approach focused on healthy body/mind awareness, injury prevention, and finding comfort and ease of movement.

 

I am on the double bass faculty at the Longy School of Music of Bard College and Tufts University and have presented master classes at Eastman, New England Conservatory, and the University of Texas. 

 

As a member of Duo Cello e Basso, I have partnered with cellist Emmanuel Feldman to commission and premiere over 20 new works, performing across Europe and through out the US. Our latest project includes our own arrangements of music of Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Gardel for our upcoming CD “Let’s Tango!” with pianist Victor Cayres to be released winter 2022.
